Nel mondo dell’automobilismo non sono rari gli screzi o le polemiche fra i protagonisti, specie ai livelli più alti. Al fatto concorrono le rivalità agonistiche, gli interessi economici e le manie di protagonismo di alcuni personaggi, ma anche delle rivendicazioni di merito più o meno giustificabili. A questa fattispecie sembrano appartenere le esternazioni di Tony Teixeira, che ha accusato Bernie Ecclestone di “plagiargli” le idee.
Il presidente dell’A1GP è convinto che la progressiva tendenza alla standardizzazione delle componenti voluta dai vertici della Formula 1 renda il Circus una sorta di imitazione concettuale della sua disciplina. Questo gli procura un certo fastidio: “Invece di copiare tutte le nostre idee, è sufficiente che acquistino la nostra categoria. Capisco la crisi economica, ma in Formula Uno si utilizzano le stesse gomme e alcuni componenti elettronici, senza contare che in futuro lo stesso Ecclestone vorrebbe un telaio e motore unico per tutti i team“.
Proprio l’utilizzo della stessa cellula e del medesimo propulsore è uno dei tratti distintivi dei bolidi dell’A1 GP, che derivano dalla Ferrari di Formula 1 del 2004.

Non ci era arrivato nessuno a pensare che la F1 è sempre più uguale alla A1.
Fondiamo le due cose e creiamo la FA(nc…o)1, tanto a questo arriveremo.
Siamo passati dalla “massima espressione dell’automobilismo” alla “massima espressione dell’instabilità mentale” del duo Bernie-Max.
Una cortesia, se c’è in circolazione un multimiliardario che ci legge, acquisti la F1 e gli ridia un’identità VERA!!!

A1GP boss still considering F1 move

A1GP boss Tony Teixeira says his ambitions to run a Formula One team remain alive - after dropping a hint that he is looking at setting up an outfit in Portugal.
The South African businessman has looked at bids for Spyker, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Honda Racing over the past two years, but is now edging towards starting a team from scratch.
He is looking at using land acquired near the Algarve Circuit in Portimao as a base for his A1GP Series – as well as for housing an F1 operation. The ambitious scheme could receive funding from the Portuguese government.
“I’ve bought 47,000 square metres at the Portimao circuit,” Teixeira told autosport.com about his plans for relocating A1 GP. “I’ve bought that to put up a head office, an A1GP factory with 35 bays and an A2 factory, and restaurants, and the whole merchandising scene.”
When asked about the possibility of basing an F1 team, Teixeira said: “The team that I’ve been looking at would be based (in Portugal) and backed by the Portuguese government.
“If this is going to be such an important racing centre, they have to have an F1 team to compete with. Otherwise it means nothing without F1…The idea is that eventually it could house an A1/F1 office.”
Teixeira has also revealed that he had been in talks with Honda Racing as recently as the last fortnight about a takeover deal.
“I was one of the guys talking to Honda in the last two weeks,” he said. “We had done a deal on Spyker, but I let Vijay (Mallya) take it….We then went to Toro Rosso in November and all the (other) teams said ‘no customer boss’ so I had to walk away.
“Today I’m in a completely different situation. I’ve built my own cars and designed my own chassis. I have my own factory. So I’m not a customer boss. I can now build my chassis and run with a Ferrari engine. I’m now the same as everyone else.”
Teixeira said, however, that any involvement in Honda Racing was scuppered by the difficult financial conditions caused by a worldwide recession.
He added: “The only reason we want an F1 team is for the winners of A1 to go to F1. But, because of the times, I cannot commit myself to this year’s budget.”

cioe’ dico io ma quale idee avrebbero plagiato all’A1gp ??
rimettere le slick o limitare in maniera drastica l’aerodinamica sarebbe a dire copiare ?? ma se addirittura il telaio di queste A1 GP deriva da quello (o forse e’) della f2004 !!!

24 feb 2009 - 23:11 - #8Ma il concetto di telaio unico e motore unico è ormai intrinseco in tutte le discipline propedeutiche!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Da GP2 ad A1GP passando per EuroSrs 3000, F.BMW, F.Azzura ecc.
Solo la F3 lascia una parte libera, quella dei motori.
