La Fia, nella stessa giornata della sentenza sul caso dell’incidente di Nelson Piquet Junior nel Gran Premio di Singapore 2008, ha diramato il calendario degli appuntamenti che comporranno la stagione 2010 di Formula 1. L’auspicio di tutti è di assistere il prossimo anno a uno spettacolo agonistico leale e pulito, senza beghe politiche, sotterfugi e verdetti assegnati ai tribunali.
Ad aprire la serie iridata, articolata in 19 sfide, sarà il Gran Premio del Bahrain, in programma il 14 marzo sul circuito di Sakhir. Poi toccherà a Melbourne, Sepang, Shanghai, Barcellona, Montecarlo e Istanbul, prima del Gran Premio del Canada, che si svolgerà sulla pista di Montreal il 13 giugno prossimo: si tratta di un felice ritorno, abbracciato con affetto da molti sportivi.
Seguiranno le tappe di Valencia, Donington, Nurburgring, Hungaroring, Spa Francorchamps, Monza, Singapore e Suzuka. Il 17 ottobre una new entry, con il Gran Premio di Corea, atteso al debutto su un nuovissimo circuito nella regione dello Yeongam, a 320 km da Seul. Infine l’evento di Abu Dhabi, in un universo di sfarzi milionari, e quello conclusivo di Interlagos, in Brasile.

The most notable characteristic of the Jeonnam Circuit is the fact that it has been designed as two inter-changable tracks; the F1 track (5.6km) and the permanent track (3.04km).
During ordinary occasions, such as domestic automobile races or motorcycle races, the northern part of the circuit (3.045km, in the shape of a hat) will be used. But during international motor-sport events, such as the F1 Grand Prix, an elongated track (heading towards Yeongam Lake) will also be utilized, extending the total length to 5.6km. In the past, several circuits within the country have made short-courses by temporarily blocking certain track areas.
But the Jeonnam Circuit is the first course to actually be designed as a dual-structure from the beginning. The Motegi Twin Ring Circuit of Japan has also attempted to combine an “oval course” with a different “general course”, but the Jeonnam Circuit is the first track in the world to have combined 2 different F1-standard-sized courses.
Another characteristic of the Jeonnam Circuit is its racing direction: counterclockwise. Only 2 of the 17 circuits listed on the 2007 F1 Calender (Turkey and Brazil), have been designed in this manner. The Jeonnam Circuit would be the only counterclockwise track located in Asia. Since most drivers are used to clockwise-direction tracks, the Jeonnam Circuit will serve as a unique, but challenging, experience for the world’s best racers.
The Jeonnam Circuit also has two separate sets of pits and paddocks (a facility used for storing and inspecting race cars) for the general track and the F1 track, respectively. This is an unprecedented feature in the world. By having 2 different pit facilities, the Jeonnam Circuit is able to offer sufficient space for other “support races”, which are also held during the F1 Grand Prix period. In addition, the 2 pits will allow larger parking room for the F1 race cars.
The Jeonnam Circuit has combined all the strong points of other famous tracks, such as Monaco and Indianapolis. The marina section, which is located in the southern part of the F1 track, offers breathtaking views of the nearby ocean. The Jeonnam Circuit will become the first permanent track in the history of F1, to have the ocean in the background. Within the marina section, a radial-shaped town (closely resembling Monte Carlo of the Monaco Grand Prix) will be constructed. This region will be developed into the greatest motor-sports cluster of the East.

“As for the race - the safety and impact on it (due to) the haze situation – it will be a decision taken by the FIA, so we’ll leave it in their good hands,” he said.
“As for our own precautions or any advisories that would be required, it will be issued by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources. They will coordinate any need for it.”
The Singapore Motor Sports Association president Tan Teng Lip admitted that in a worst case scenario, track action would have to be stopped.
“The worst scenario is of course if the visibility becomes so bad and it affects the drivers, you know, we talk about safety issue, so the last resort is always to stop the race, ” he said.
“It is actually similar situation as if there’s a very heavy rain, just like what happened in Sepang earlier this year. But of course that has to be decided by the race stewards.”

mah, è il classico tilkodromo, il vero guaio dei circuiti di nuova generazione, e che tendono a rassomigliarsi tra di loro offrendo al pilota ed ai tecnici sempre la stessa sfida, questo porta ad un appiattimento delle performance nel corso della stagione, mentre in passato la varietà dei circuiti permetteva l’esaltarsi delle varie monoposto e piloti in base al circuito, c’erano i circuiti di motore, i cittadini strettissimi ed ultrasconnessi, i sali e scendi di Brands e Kyalami………………..che mettevano in luce le caratteristiche “buone” dei vari mezzi e ne sottolineavano le “mancanze” di volta in volta, rendendo piu vario di situazioni e combattuto il campionato

Ormai interessa di più quello che c’è attorno alla pista che deve essere ripreso dalle telecamere,vedi Valencia.
Troppe corse di bassa qualità e autodromi deserti,Ecclestone punta tutto sui diritti televisivi.

22 set 2009 - 13:55 - #17Veramente del circuito della Corea mi risulta esista soltanto l’idea, ed avevo letto che il ritardo nella realizzazione è tale da rendere impossibile un GP nel breve periodo. Mi sembra un’altra sparata di Ecclestone per nascondere il fallimento dell’esportazione asiatica della F1, un po’ come tutta la pubblicità che stanno facendo alla Force India soltanto perchè vogliono fare un GP in India a tutti i costi.
E’ anche inspiegabile che la Spagna continui ad essere l’unico paese ad ospitare due GP. Non ci illudiamo che quando faranno il circuito a Roma l’Italia avrà due gare: una delle due (Monza) sparirà.

lo sai che lo studio per il circuito di Jacarepagua è uno dei lavori di Tilke che piu’ mi convincono, innovativo rispettando le caratteristiche storiche del tracciato

questo progetto andava ad integrare il circuito con le strutture polisportive del parco olimpico, invece hanno deciso di demolire l’impianto, ennesimo scempio nei confronti del motorsport

ad ora viene utilizzato solo la parte del traguardo e la juncao, il circuito è molto corto, ed la prefettura di rio non ne vuole sapere di mantenere in vita un mezzo autodromo dalle strutture fatiscenti quindi……….
Jacarepagua, the former F1 circuit in Rio de Janeiro, is to be demolished to allow the city to build new venues for its 2016 bid for the Olympic Games. The circuit, built on reclaimed marshland back in the 1970s, hosted the Brazilian GP on 10 different occasions before F1 moved to Interlagos in the rival city of Sao Paulo.
The circuit survived plans to demolish it in 2005 when preparations were being made for the Panamerican Games but one end of the circuit was taken over to make room for a new stadium. There were races on the shortened track in the course of 2006. There had been talk of retaining the circuit as part of the car parking for the Olympic park, thus allowing races to be held later but this concept seems to have been dropped.
The new plan is for the site to become an Olympic Training Center.
